Bringing a Library to Life

Redford Township District Library
Redford, MI

MCD Architects selected StudioCraft as their solutions partner for a significant renovation of the children’s area of the Redford Township District Library. There was a vibrant and dynamic vision for what this space could be: full of flowers, flowing rivers, butterflies, three-dimensional elements, and boulder-shaped desks, benches, and displays.

Our team worked closely with the designer and client to bring their vision to life and fulfill the functional needs of the space. Our expertise in materials helped ensure that the elements we built are not only beautiful, but will hold up against daily wear-and-tear.

StudioCraft advised using Corian for the boulder circulation desk, and using MDF with non-glare acrylic for the three-dimensional map walls to offer protection against dust and usage.

We were honored to be a part of a destination for so many kids in Redford, and delivered solutions that we know embody the design intent and are built to last.
